About Me
Hi! I'm Sharynne, a senior software engineer based in Kansas City, MO. My main area of expertise is in frontend development, building small and large-scale web apps with React and NodeJS. I also have experience working with backend APIs and databases.
My goal as an engineer is to understand the human side of software development. In the words of Jeff Atwood, "Computers are fascinating machines, but they're mostly a reflection of the people using them... you have to study the people behind the software too." I love learning about concepts in UX design and the psychology behind user behavior.
When I'm not buried in code, I enjoy playing video games and going on food adventures! I believe the best way to learn about a person and their culture is through their food. I spend much of my weekends trying new restaurants and learning how to cook different cuisines. I also enjoy urban and street photography. Let me know if you'd like to go and do a session together. Connect with me on Instagram!
